Robinhood’s Crypto Revenue Soars 339% in Q3, Outperforming Analyst Expectations
Robinhood Markets delivered a standout performance in the third quarter, with cryptocurrency revenue surging 339% year-over-year to $268 million. The trading platform processed $80 billion in crypto volume during the period, underscoring growing retail participation in digital assets.
Total company revenue doubled to $1.27 billion, eclipsing Wall Street's $1.2 billion estimate. Earnings per share reached 61 cents, beating the 51-cent consensus. Transaction-based revenues grew 129% to $730 million, with crypto accounting for more than a third of that figure.
The company's strategic moves—including its Bitstamp acquisition and prediction markets—now generate over $100 million in annualized revenue. While HOOD shares dipped slightly after hours, they remain up 280% year-to-date, reflecting sustained investor confidence in Robinhood's crypto-first strategy.
